LAHL rules
USA Hockey rules apply, with these league exceptions:
- No body checking. Incidental contact is fine; deliberate checks are a two-minute minor.
- No slap shots in the E and F divisions. Wrist and snap shots only.
- Running time in the third period when the goal differential reaches five.
- Ties stand in the regular season after a five-minute 3-on-3 overtime. Playoff games use sudden-death overtime until a winner is decided.
- Standings: 2 points for a win, 1 for a tie or an overtime loss. Tiebreakers are wins, goal differential, then goals for.
- A player must appear in five regular-season games to be playoff eligible. Goalies are exempt.
- Spares must be registered league players from the same or a lower division.
