Code of conduct
Code of conduct
Everyone who plays, coaches, officiates, volunteers or watches agrees to this code.
Respect the officials
Our officials are trained, certified and outnumbered. Questions about a call go to your captain or head coach after the game, through the league convener. Abuse of officials carries a minimum four-game suspension and can end a season.
Play safe
- Adult and 40+ leagues are non-checking. Body contact is a penalty.
- Fighting is an automatic game misconduct and a two-game suspension; a second offense in the same season doubles it.
- Checks from behind are a major and a game misconduct, every time.
Discipline
The discipline committee reviews every game misconduct within seven days. Suspensions are published on each league's suspensions page. Players may appeal in writing within 48 hours.
In the stands
Cheer for your team, not against the other one. Parents and spectators who confront officials or coaches will be asked to leave the building.
