Keeping young players safe

• Every coach and dressing-room volunteer completes a background screen and SafeSport training before their first practice.
• Rule of two: at least two screened adults are present whenever a minor is in a dressing room, on a bus or at an off-ice event.
• Electronic messages to players go through team chat with a parent copied, never one-to-one.
• Concerns can be reported to the youth director or anonymously through the association office.
